Pastor Tucker comes from a strong Pentecostal heritage (3rd generation Church of God). He began preaching at the age of 19 and has been in full-time ministry for 43 years. He attended East Coast Bible College prior to becoming a full time evangelist for 10 years.

In 1993 he accepted the call to serve as Associate Pastor under his father and in 1997 he became Lead Pastor of The Praising Place Church.

In January 2013 The Praising Place Church purchased the Kimmerly Glen Shopping Center in Charlotte, NC, and renovated it into what is their current facility.

Pastor Tucker serves in ministry along with his wife Janice, who is an accomplished minister. Together they have been married for 41 years and Pastoring The Praising Place Church for 28 years.

Together have 2 children and 4 grandchildren, who all serve alongside of them at The Praising Place Church.
